MINT CHUTNEY / PUDHINA CHUTNEY - VERSION III

This is my 3rd version of mint chutney which I learnt from one of my friend Krithika.  She made plenty varieties of food when we went their home for lunch.  It was a feast! Thank you Krithika for a wonderful lunch and it was delicious.  I found some different taste in the mint chutney what she made and it was super cool to have with rice.  I had twice and I just loved it.  When I asked the recipe I found the ingredients why it had a different taste of it.  I never made in that way until I tasted in her home and nowadays this is how am making it :-)  Thank you for the wonderful recipe Krithika :-) Can't make you all to wait for long!  Here is the recipe!

INGREDIENTS:

Mint                  - two bunches
Onion                - 1 chopped
Tomatoes           - 2
Red chillies        - 4 to 5 or as needed
Salt                     - to taste

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions tomatoes and red chillies.  Fry them well until it get tender. Add mint leaves.

Blend the leaves with all the other ingredients and soon you can see the leaves shrink.  Turn off the stove and allow them to cooled down.  In a blender or mixi add all the ingredients along with needed salt and make a fine paste.   This chutney will go well with rice, idly and dosa.  For rasam and curd rice it is a great side dish :-)

TIPS:

Add any one of cabbage, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, chow chow, and coriander leaves instead mint leaves.
