STEP BY STEP PROSO MILLET DOSA & IDLI:

INGREDIENTS:

Proso Millet - 4 cups
Urad dal      - 1 cup
Salt            - as required 
Water         - as required  

HOW TO MAKE:

Wash proso millet and urad dal and soak overnight or 8 to 10 hours.

Wash soaked millet and urad and transfer to blender along with needed salt. 

 
 

Grind into fine paste.  Transfer to a bowl and keep covered overnight or until fermented.

Mix well. For making dosa adjust batter consistency by adding little water.  Heat dosa tava, pour needed batter in the center.  Spread into thin circle.  Drizzle oil around.

Cook both sides until crisp.  


For Idli, pour batter in the idli plate and steam for 10 to 12 minutes or until done. 

Healthy & Delicious Proso Millet Dosa & Idli ready to serve.  Serve hot with any chutney or sambar of your choice. 


TIPS:

I have not added rice as i wanted 100% no rice recipe.  If needed adjust the proportion of millet and add rice.
