RAVA PAKKODA / SOOJI PAKKODA / SEMOLINA PAKKODA




Rava Pakkoda - An easy peasy instant scrumptious snack!...Yes...If any friends or relatives giving us a surprise visit then this Rava Pakkoda is the best snack to make it instant and fatafat we can make this :-)  I made this cutie mini pakkodas this weekend and my kiddos emptied the tray in 5 mins :-)
Try this mouth watering pakkodas which I served with coconut chutney :-)

INGREDIENTS:

Rava / Semolina - 1 cup
Curd                   - 1 1/2 cups
Onion                 - 1 finely chopped
Green chillies     - 2 finely chopped
Grated ginger     - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves- 2 tsp chopped finely
Curry leaves       - few chopped finely
Cooking soda     - a generous pinch
Salt                     - as needed
Oil                      - for deep frying

HOW TO MAKE:

In a bowl mix rava and curd together.  Add salt and cooking soda.  Mix well and keep aside for 10 mins.  Rava will get soak soon and it will turn as a fluffy dough.  Add chopped onions, green chillies, grated ginger, chopped coriander and curry leaves.  Mix all the ingredients.



Heat oil in a deep kadai for frying.  Once the oil heated take a batter little by little and drop it in the oil.  Put 7 to 8 at a time depends on the kadai and the oil you use. Deep fry both sides until it cooked and turn into golden brown.


Once it turned to golden brown and crispy take out from the oil and drain it on the paper towel.

Serve crispy rava pakkoda with any chutney :-)


TIPS:

Do not add water.

Coarsely grounded pepper or red chillies can be added instead green chillies.
