Yayyyyyy!!! 💃💃💃  Am so happy that I I could made this ever green memorable, delicious, scrumptious.....(did I left anything?) bakery snack!  Yesss....It is Dilpasand / Dil Pasand which is a popular South Indian bakery snack.  Am a proud Trichy girl 😇 (District of Tamil Nadu) and grew up as a Srirangam girl,  How could I miss Srirangam Iyengar Bakery?!!! Never! 👧  I just love this bakery snacks and there I started eating this wonderful Dilpasand.  My appa (Dad) used to buy this and I still remember that I never share this with my brother or sister😁  There are so many snacks I used to love from there, like mundhri pakkoda, bun butter jam, coconut puffs etc.,  and this is one of my favourites!

The reason behind this post today is my lovable cousin Ramya!  Yesterday when she told me that she had dil pasand it took me to our good old golden days, where our weekend never gone without eating bakery snacks from Rajan Bakery, Kodambbakam, Chennai!  If I start talking about those days, there is no ending for that!!😛 . So coming to the matter, Ramya tempted on saying about dil pasand and I was dying to eat it.  Where I could go for this in Houston other than my Kitchen? 😎  I have surfed some sites and got to know what are all can be added and I modified according to my tastebud to make this delicious Iyengar Bakery Dil Pasand!

Dil Pasand means , in Hindi "liked by the heart"!  It is very true that no one can say that they don't like it!   It is nothing but, the buttery puff pastry which is filled with coconut, nuts and Tutti Fruity baked to perfection!  Tutti Fruity is a mix of colorful little bits of dried fruits.  It is available in most of the Indian grocery stores.  It is not difficult to make it and can be done in minutes, only baking time counts!  Enjoy making this during this holiday season and have a wonderful holidays!
