MANGO VERMICELLI POPSICLE | MANGO SEMIYA KUCHI ICE



Vermicelli Popsicle / Semiya Ice is one of my childhood favourite.  I still remember Ice Vandi Man rings the bell from the whole street with variety of Ice creams like  Milk Popsicle, Mango Ice, Semiya Ice, Orange Ice etc....This Mango Ice is a yummy, Creamy & delicious popsicles added with vermicelli that is much needed for this summer heat 😎. I have already shared Paal Ice and soon will post more recipes for this summer.  In Tamil (Our Language) we call popsical as Kuchi (stick) Ice which has become an extinct one nowadays.  We can make different kind off popsicles at home by adding variety fruits!  Making popsicle is very easy and kids will have fun to taste all the fruits which is healthy as it is homemade! 😍

MANGO VERMICELLI POPSICLE STEP BY STEP

INGREDIENTS:

Mango              - 2 cups chopped
Vermicelli         - 1/2 cup
Water                - 1 1/2 cups
Sugar                - 1/4 Cup or as needed

HOW TO MAKE:

Wash the mango and peel the skin.  Cut into pieces.  In a blender add mango and sugar along with water and make a fine puree without any lumps.  Keep aside. 


Take 1 1/2 cups of water in a pan and allow to boil.  Add vermicelli and stir often to avoid forming lumps.  Cook until the semiya cooked.  


Allow cooked semiya to cool down.  Once it cooled down add mango puree in the cooked semiya and mix well without any lumps. 


Pour it in the popsicle mould and freeze for 5 to 6 hours.  Show it in the running water for couple of minutes to take out popsicles easily.  


Yumm...Yumm...Popsicles are ready!  Enjoy Chilled!


TIPS:

Honey can be added instead sugar.

Adding condensed milk will take out the mango flavour, Hence I have cooked semiya in the water.

Adding other flavour in this will change the flavour of mango so avoid adding other food essence.
