Eggless Donut | Soft & Fluffy Donuts | Donut Recipe

STEP BY STEP DONUT:

INGREDIENTS:

All Purpose Flour - 2 Cups
Warm milk         - 1 Cup
Dry Yeast           - 1 tbsp 
Salt                   - 1/4 tsp 
Oil                     - 1 tbsp 
Butter                - 2 tbsp 
Sugar                 - 2 tbsp 

HOW TO MAKE:

Take milk, sugar and yeast in a bowl and mix well.  Keep aside for 10 minutes.  After 10 minutes you can see the yeast worked and can see the foam. Take all purpose flour and salt in a bowl and mix well. 


Add yeast mixture and knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes.   Add butter in the middle and make a fine non sticky dough. 


When you touch with your finger, if the dough bounce back then that is the perfect consistency. Grease the bowl and keep the dough inside.  Wait until it raise doubled the size. 


Release the air by punching the raised dough.  Knead the dough for sometime and roll into thick circle.  


Use circle lid and cut the rolled dough in to small disks.  You can use the donut cutter and I used coffee filter lid.  Remove the extras. Use small bottle cap to make a hole in the middle.

Apply some oil and keep covered.  Let it raise for 15 minutes.  Heat oil in a kadai and let the oil be low medium hot.  Do not overheat the oil.  Drop the raised donut one by one carefully in the oil.  Flip them carefully. 


Fry donut until golden grown.  Remove from the oil and place it on the paper towel to absorb the excess oil.  For sugar donut dust in the sugar.  


add little cinnamon powder to make cinnamon sugar donut.  Melt chocolate and dip the donut to make chocolate glazed donut.  add sprinkles on the chocolate to make chocolate sprinkle donut.  

Decorate donuts by adding flavors of your choice. 

  • Sugar Donut - Dust in the sugar
  • Cinnamon Sugar Donut - add cinnamon powder in the sugar and dust the donut
  • Chocolate Glazed Donut - Melt chocolate and dip the donut in the syrup.  
  • Use different types sprinkles depends on your choice. 

TIPS:

Oil should be in low medium heat.  Do not overheat the oil. 

If you want to add eggs, avoid adding oil. 

Dough should be very flexible, soft and non sticky.
