Quick, Simple and Scrumptious recipe in three steps!!! Yes...Aarmras! It is a very popular dessert or sweet from the states of Maharashtra & Gujarat, India. In Hindi, Aam means Mango & Ras means juice. Basically it is a plain mango pulp or puree added sugar, ginger and cardamom. I never know this recipe until I heard from one of my friend Indu. When we met last time, she said that she made aamras for roti. I was very curious and though I know Hindi I could not related that name with mango :-) When I asked her she told me that it is just a mango puree and it will be good for roti and poori. I bought a big ripe mango last week and wanted to make this aamras for poori. My family love it and they enjoyed having with poori. My little one said that I should make it everyday :-) he he! Thank you Indu for letting me know and we loved it!
