Homemade Tea masala was long time pending in my list and I did it today!  My husband is a tea lover and he drinks it any time and there is no limit for this :-) Am just opposite! he he Yes...I am coffee person!  But I love tea also! It's not that I do not drink tea!  I make tea by adding cardamom and ginger or either one of that.  When we were in Australia, my friend Hema made masala chai and it was just awesome.  She is from Gujarat and I just loved the tea she made.  I asked her about the ingredients and I never made it there!  After we moved to Houston I had a chance to taste the same tea that too after a couple of years!  Yes...when we visited our friend Kausha and she made the masala chai..wow..what an energising tea!! She is a also from Gujarat and No wonder why the taste of the chai is the same as Hema made... :-) I asked her the recipe and again I did not make it for the past two years.  This time I did not want to skip this post and yayyyyyy!! I made it today :-) From now on this authentic spiced Indian Tea masala powder is going to be in my pantry!

This tea powder contains very good and nutritious six spices of ginger, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.   I never bought any stored tea masala powder as I always use cardamom and ginger to make tea.  Now, there is no way that I am even thinking of buying from outside!  All these ingredients are very handy and we can make this homemade tea masala effortlessly.   Try to make this authentic homemade tea masala powder and you will say GOOD BYE to the stored one!
