BOONDI RAITA | DAHI BOONDI | RAITA FOR BIRYANI


Looking for an Easy, Quick & Tasty side dish for Biryani / Pulao? Here is Boondi Raita 😋😋 . It is one of the easiest recipe to whip up when we have Boondi readily available at home 😍  It is one of the North Indian Traditional Raita especially in Punjabi Cuisine.  Raita is usually prepared with curd / yogurt with vegetables and fruits.  This one is super crunchy as we make it with fried Boondi 😊😉

BOONDI RAITA STEP BY STEP:

INGREDIENTS: 

Boondi                    - 1 Cup
Curd                        - 2 Cups
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala         - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves   - 3 tsp chopped
Salt                           - to taste

HOW TO MAKE:

First take curd in a bowl and beat smoothly without any lumps.  Add red chilli powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves and needed salt.  Adding salt should be careful as the boondi may have salt in it.  Do not add more salt as the raita may salty. 



Mix well with the masala and make sure there is no lumps.  Add boondi and mix well.  


Serve chilled with Biryani / Pulao!   


TIPS:

Grated carrot can be added.  I have not added as my kids doesn't wanted anything in the raita other than boondi 😎

Boondi may have salt in it so care to be taken while adding salt.  Adding more salt will result salty raita.  

Hing can be added too.
