RAW BANANA FRITTERS | VAZHAIKKAI BAJJI | RAW PLANTAIN FRITTERS


Today am here with tempting finger food snack Vazhaikkai Bajji / Raw Banana Fritters 😋 It is a super delicious snack for the beautiful evening or anytime or any day of the week with coconut chutney 😋 Believe me this is very easy and quick to make and super addictive 😍

STEP BY STEP RAW BANANA FRITTERS:

INGREDIENTS:

Raw Banana         - 1
Besan flour           - 1 Cup
Rice flour             - 1/4 Cup
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder  - 1/2 tsp
Ajwain seeds        - 1/4 tbsp
Salt                       - to taste
Water                    - as required
Oil                        - as required

HOW TO MAKE:

In a bowl take all the ingredients except water & oil.  Mix the ingredients and bring to crumbs texture.  Add water little by little and make a fine mixture.


Consistency should not be neither watery nor thick, should be like adai batter consistency.  Peel raw banana skin and cut thin slices.  Dip the slices in the mixture.  


Heat oil in a kadai and when the oil is hot enough, carefully drop dipped slices in the hot oil one by one.  Do not overcrowded and make the batch depends on size of the kadai.  Flip them now and then till cooked both sides and the oil sound ceases.  


When it cooked and golden brown remove them from the oil and drain on the paper towel to remove excess oil.  



Serve hot with any chutney of your choice and for this Bajji coconut chutney is the best combo 😋


TIPS:

Follow the same method to make different vegetable fritters like Potato, brjinjal, onion, capsicum, snake gourd, spinach can be used for making fritters.  

Always use little oil (1/4 of the kadai) for frying as it will be wasted after frying them.
