ROSE MILK KUCHI ICE / ROSE MILK POPSICLE

Rose Milk Ice - One of my favourite kuchi (stick) ice in my childhood.  I used to run from home whenever I heard ice vandi (ice selling person) sound.  I just drowned of this rose milk ice and still I could remember the taste.  The shape of this ice was in triangle shape and there are so many flavours like mango ice, semiya ice and pal ice.  I was crazy and of course now too :-) It was a treat in my summer holidays which we enjoyed in my school days I could say!  We always go to Pothanur, Coimbatore for summer holidays to my avva's (grandma) house.  Including me we are 9 grand children for my avva.  Oh Man, whenever the ice vandi sound comes, my mama come out from the house and he always says " indha veedu illapa....inga varadha " ha ha ha ha Means, don't come nearby this house... :-)  Coz we were 9 and they could not controlled on us if we start to eat the kuchi ice :-) Crazy we were!!! Those days are unforgettable... Am dedicating this post to all my cousins, brother & sister and to my Mama!!!

INGREDIENTS:

Milk                    - 2 cups
Rose milk syrup - 2 to 2 1/2 tsp
Sugar                  - 2 tsp or as needed

HOW TO MAKE:

Boil milk and add sugar.  Mix well and wait until the sugar get dissolved.  Allow to cool down.  Add rose milk syrup.

Mix well and pour it in the ice moulds.

Cover the mould with the cling wraps into 3 to 4 layers.  In the middle of each mould just give a slight cut and then put the ice stick inside.  You can use the mould stick too.  I wanted to use the wood stick to feel my childhood days and so I used.  Keep the mould in the freezer and keep it more than 8 to 10 hours or overnight.

Take out from the freezer and show the mould bottom unde the tap running water.  Warm water will be good.  Slowly pull out the stick and serve immediately.

Rose milk kuchi ice :-) Ready to serve :-)

TIPS:

Using cling wrap will hold the stick stiff so that it will get shake or move.

I used less sugar coz, the syrup itself has sugar.  You can add or less as per the preference.
