Pesto Sauce | Homemade Pesto Sauce | Basil Pesto Sauce without Cheese


An easy and fresh homemade pesto sauce recipe, it is wonderful for pasta, pizza, grilled vegetables and the like. Homemade dishes are always special to us and during this lockdown many of us have started learning to make so many cuisines, and when we have these sauces handy, it always makes it easier to whip up a quick dish. Enjoy making this easy pesto sauce without cheese as it is vegan friendly, but the cheese lovers out there, go-ahead and add as much cheese as you desire!

STEP BY STEP PESTO SAUCE:

INGREDIENTS:

Basil Leaves - 3 handsful
Olive Oil       - 1/2 Cup
Walnuts        - 1/4 Cup
Garlic           - 1 pod peeled
Black Pepper - 1 tbsp
Salt              - 1 tbsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Wash basil leaves.  Add all the ingredients in blender.


Make a fine paste without adding water. If it is too thick add more olive oil.  


Basil Pesto Sauce is ready!  Store in airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.


TIPS:

For paste consistency do not add water,  add more olive oil if needed.  

When store in airtight container do not fill till the top, give an inch gap between the lid and the bottle.  

Store in an airtight container and topped with a tsp of olive oil then close the lid.  This keeps the sauce fresh for a week.
