STEP BY STEP CORIANDER LEAVES POWDER

INGREDIENTS:

Coriander Leaves - 1 Bunch
Urad dal              - 1 Cup
Channa Dal          - 1/4 Cup 
Red Chilli             - 10 or as required
Turmeric Powder  - 1/4 tsp 
Asafoetida           - 1/4 tsp 
Salt                    - to taste

HOW TO MAKE:

Wash Coriander leaves and air dry for 2 to 3 days. 


Dry roast Urad dal, Channa Dal and Red Chilli and cool down completely.  Saute dried coriander leaves just to make sure to remove moisture if any. 


Grind into coarse powder by adding turmeric powder, asafoetida and needed salt. 


Now add sautéed coriander leaves and give two more pulse / gentle store to make fine powder or desired consistency. 


Store in an airtight container and it stays fresh months.  

Serve with Idli, Dosa and it is good with hot rice too! 



TIPS:

Always make sure there is no moisture in the coriander leaves so the powder can last fresh for more days. 

Sesame seeds, peanuts can be added too.  

White urad dal can be added instead whole urad.
