Cabbage Papad Masala | Side dish for Roti, Poori, Chapati & Rice

STEP BY STEP CABBAGE PAPAD MASALA:

INGREDIENTS:

Cabbage - 1 medium size Fried papad - 5 Onion - 1 Tomato - 2 Red chili powder - 1/2 tbsp Coriander powder - 1 tbsp Garam masala - 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp Ginger & Garlic - 1 tbsp grated or paste Besan flour - 1 tbsp Kasuri methi - 1/2 tsp
Fried Papad - 5 Salt - to taste Water - as required

TO TEMPER:

Oil - 1 tbsp
Bay leaf - few
Cinnamon stick - small piece
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat oil in a pan add bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cumin seeds. Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste along with needed salt. Combine well and cook until translucent.


Add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and turmeric powder.  Mix well and cook until tomatoes tendered and the oil leaves the pan.  


Add chopped cabbage and mix well.  


Add little water and cook until cabbage soft.  Once cooked add kasuri methi. 


Mix besan flour in a cup of water and mix well without any lumps.  Add besan slurry. Combine well and bring to boil.  


Break fried papad into pieces and add in the curry.  Combine well and cook for 2 minutes in a medium flame.


Cabbage Papad Masala is ready. 


Serve hot with Chapati, Roti, Poori and Rice of your choice.
