MUSKMELON POPSICLES / CANTALOUPE POPSICLES / KIRNI POPSICLES

Summer started and everyone wants to stay chill.  In summer almost every weekend when we go for groceries, my kids just picks bag full of popsicles.  That too my little one Pinti she is crazy :-)  In shops almost all the popsicles have only flavoured ice.  Last year in summer I tried watermelon and grape popsicles, my kids just loved it.  I could not click hence, I didn't get a chance to post either. Yesterday we had a birthday party in our home for my daughter Chinti & my son Inti.  They both born in April and we invited their friends together for the party.  I made different kind off popsicles on the previous day.  All the kids loved it much and they really had blast.  I used to be crazy for Paal ice, rose milk ice and we called it as kuchi ice.  When I made these popsicles I literally gone back to my childhood memories and wowww...what an amazing days we had :-)

INGREDIENTS:

Muskmelon / Kirni pazham -  1 cup or as needed
Milk                                      - 1/2 cup
Sugar                                     - 2 tsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Cut muskmelon into two parts and remove the seeds inside.  Cut into pieces and peel the skin.  In a mixie / blender put muskmelon pieces, sugar and the milk.  Grind it together and blend well.  Pour into the popsicles moulds.

Close it with the lid as shown in the picture below.  If the mould doesn't have a lid with stick, not to worry, put ice stick inside and cover it with foil.  Keep it in the freezer for 8 to 10 hours or over night.

Then, take out the moulds from the freezer and show under the water tap.  Slowly pull out the popsicles.

Serve immediately.  Chill chill popsicles are ready.

TIPS:

Lemon juice can be added.  If so, avoid milk and add water instead.

Saffron can be added too.

Sugar can be added more or less according the sweetness of the fruit.
