Hot and Sour Soup | Hot and Sour Veg Soup

STEP BY STEP HOT & SOUR SOUP:

INGREDIENTS:

Oil - 2 tbsp Ginger - 2 tbsp grated Garlic - 2 tbsp chopped Green Chili - 3 - 4 chopped Spring onion - 1/2 cup chopped Cabbage - 1 cup minced Carrot - 1 cup minced Water - 5 - 6 cups or as required Pepper - 1 tbsp
Corn flour - 2 tbsp Salt - to taste Sugar - 1 tsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat oil in a deep pan, add grated ginger, finely chopped garlic and finely chopped green chili. Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes.


Add chopped spring onion, minced carrot and minced cabbage.  Stir fry and cook for 2 - 3 minutes.  Do not over cook. 


Add 5 - 6 cups of water and mix well and bring to boil. 


When boiling add soy sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, salt and sugar.  Mix well. 


Bring to boil.  In a bowl take 2 tbsp of corn flour and mix with 1/4 cup of water.  Mix well without any lumps.  Add corn flour slurry in the boiling soup.  



Boil for 4 - 5 minutes till thickens for needed consistency.  Add pepper powder and turn off the stove. 


Serve hot!  Enjoy drinking 😋


TIPS:

Finely chopped beans can be added along with these vegetables.

Veggies can be added on your choice. 

Sugar is optional.
