COCONUT MILK PULAO




INGREDIENTS:

Rice                      - 1 Cup
Onion                   - 1slice le
Ginger garlic
Paste                    - 2 Tsp
Green chillies      - 3 to 4
Peas                     - 1/4 Cup
Coconut powder  - 1 Cup
Cumin seeds        - 1 Tsp
Bay leaf               - 1
Oil                       - 1 Tsp
Salt                      - as needed

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat oil in a pan fry the cumin seeds and bay leaf.  Saute the onions and fry until turn just transparent.  Add ginger garlic paste fry it well.



Add green chillies fry the same keep it aside.  Wash the rice and take a microwave bowl add the rice and the onion mixture.



Make two cups of coconut milk by adding water in the coconut powder, wash the peas and keep aside.



Add coconut milk and peas in the rice mixture and set 15 to 20 mintues time in the microwave and keep the bowl inside.



Serve hot pulao with onion tomato gravy and raitha :-)



TIPS:

You can use pressure cooker instead of microwave.

You can add potato, carrot, capcium, cauliflower like variety vegetables.

I used coconut powder to make the work easy, you can even use grated coconut to make milk.
