STEP BY STEP JOWAR ROTI

INGREDIENTS:

Jowar flour - 1 cup 
Water        - 2 cups
Oil             - 1 tbsp 
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp 
Red Chili powder - 1/2 tsp 
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp 
Drumstick leaves - 1/4 cup 
Salt                    - to taste
Oil / Ghee           - as required 

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, drumstick leaves, red chili powder and turmeric powder.  Saute for a minute.  Add 2 cups of water along with needed salt.  Bring it to boil. 


When boiling keep flame into medium add jowar flour.  Combine well until the water fully absorbed.  Transfer jowar mixture to a bowl.  


When the mixture is warm enough start kneading and make a fine non sticky dough.  Sprinkle water if needed.  Cover the dough and keep aside for 10 minutes.  


After 10 minutes grease ziplock or banana leaf with oil or ghee.  Take a lemon sized dough and place it on a ziplock.  Flatten gently with fingers and make thin round shape.  


Heat Dosa Tawa and place roti.  Drizzle some oil or ghee and cook both sides until brown spots appear.  


Enjoy Jowar Roti with any sambar, Sabzi, curry or chutney of your choice.
