STEP BY STEP THANNI CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS:

Coconut - 1/2 cup Fried gram dal - 1 cup Green chilli - 15 Small onion - 2 Garlic - 2 cloves Salt - to taste TO TEMPER:
Oil - 2 tsp Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1 tsp Onion - 1/4 cup finely chopped Curry leaves - few Red chilli - 1

HOW TO MAKE:

In a mixer grind coconut, fried gram dal, green chilli, small onion, garlic and needed salt. Grind into fin


Add 3 to 4 times of water and make it liquid.


Heat oil in a kadai, splutter, mustard seeds and add urad dal. Add chopped onion, red chilli and curry leaves. Saute until onion golden brown. 



Temper the chutney and mix well. 




Madurai Special Thanni Chutney is ready to serve!!  Serve with hot idlies, Dosa and pongal. 😋


TIPS:

Consistency should be watery so add enough water to make more liquid. 

Green chilli is the only ingredient which add spicy for this chutney so add enough for make it tastier.
