Badam Puri | Almond Puri | Badam Puri Sweet

 


Here is my Badam Puri recipe for this year Diwali series!

It’s so easy and simple to make and super delicious!! I kept this as my last post for the people who are busy so they can make it in very less time 🤩

STEP BY STEP BADAM PURI:

INGREDIENTS: All Purpose Flour - 1 cup Almond flour - 1 tbsp Sugar - 1 cup Cardamom flour - 1/4 tsp Cloves - as required

HOW TO MAKE:

In a bowl take all purpose flour, almond flour and cardamom powder. Give a gentle mix to combine evenly. Add a tbsp of ghee.



Mix well and add water little by little to make a soft dough.  Keep covered with wet cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare sugar syrup.  


Take a sugar in a pan and along with 1/4 cup of water.  Mix well and bring to boil.  



Check syrup consistency, when reach one string turn off the stove. Keep aside. 


Make small balls out of the dough.  Dust the ball in the flour and roll into small disc and fold into half. 


Fold into triangle and roll gently.  Insert clove in the center.  Prick gently all over with fork.  Repeat to finish all the dough and keep aside. 



Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry.  Do not flip immediately.  Flip other side and fry until golden brown. 





Drop in warm sugar syrup and let it be for 10 minutes.  Coat well and do not over soak more than 10 minutes.  Remove from the syrup after 10 minutes. 


Enjoy soft and flaky Badam Puri 😋


TIPS:

The dough should be very soft and not too tight.  

Saffron strings can be added in the syrup.

Garnish with mixed nuts on the puri.
