CORN ON TOAST

An excellent evening snack or starters.  Spice less gravy by using corn and spinach on the top of the bread toast.   Delicious snack for the kids and they love it.  Here you go for the recipe... :-)

INGREDIENTS:

Corn                   - 3/4 cup frozen
Spinach              - 1/4 cup finely chopped
Butter                 - 2 tsp
Onion                 - 1 finely chopped
Plain flour          - 3 tsp
Milk                   - 1/4 cup
Oregano             - 1 tsp
Paprika              - 1/2 tsp
Cheese               - 2 tsp
Salt                    - 1/4 tsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Steam the corns and keep aside.  Heat butter in the kadai when it started to melt add chopped onions. Fry nicely till turn into transparent.

Add chopped spinach and mix well.  Plain flour, needed salt and blend well.

Add steamed corns and mix well and 1/4 cup of milk little by little.  It will form a thick gravy.  That time add paprika and oregano.  Blend well.

Before turn off the stove sprinkle cheese on it and mix well till it form into smooth paste.

Spread on the toasted bread and serve hot.

TIPS:

Do not add more milk.

Add only less salt.

Add chopped garlic or paste to get a nice flavour.

If you are using a full corn then pressure cook it for one whistle then peel all the corns.  I used the frozen one to make it easy.
