RAVA DOSA / SEMOLINA DOSA / SOOJI DOSA



INGREDIENTS:

Rava / Sooji
Semolina         - 1 Cup
Rice flour        - 1 cup
Maida              - 1/2 cup
Curd                - 1/2 cup
Ginger             - 1 tsp finely chopped
Black pepper   - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds    - 1 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves    - 1 tsp finely chopped
Coriander leaves - 1 tsp finely chopped
Green chillies  - 2 finely chopped
Salt                  - as needed
Oil / Ghee       - as needed


HOW TO MAKE:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and mix curd with curd.  Add water little by little.  Use whisk for mixing and the batter should be very thin and watery consistency (like butter milk)





Heat dosa tava and sprinkle some oil.  The tava should be really hot.  Take a ladle full of batter and pour it from outer line then in the centre.  Do not make it like dosa and do not overlap the batter.  Add a tsp of oil or ghee on the dosa.   Cook until the dosa turns brown in colour.  Turn the other side and immediately just fold and serve hot with sambar and chutney.




Crispy Rava dosa is ready to serve :-)




TIPS:

Serve dosas immediately to eat crispy dosa.

Sprinkle finely chopped onions and fold the dosa.  Need not flip it fi you add chopped onions.

Batter will get thick if you soak it for 30 mins to 1 hour.  If so add water to make it watery consistency.
Adding curd will give soar taste of Dosa.
