VEG WRAP

Easy food for packing a wrap with all kind of healthy vegetables.  Excellent food for kids lunch box. Healthy veggies spinach, corn, carrot, tomato, chick peas and more.  Buy any wrap which is available in the store.  I use herb wholemeal wrap not the white one.   Cut all the vegetables in the previous night and it will make us easy for packing.  Lets go and prepare wrap for lunch box :-)

INGREDIENTS:

For making 3 wraps

Baby Spinach     - 1/2 cup
Carrot                 - 1/2 cup
Corn                   - 1/4 cup
Chick peas         - 1/4 cup
Cabbage            - 1/4 cup
Tomato              - 1 thinly sliced
Hummus           - as needed
Sour cream       - 2 tsp
Salt                   - 2 pinches
Wrap                - 3 (I used wholemeal herb wrap)

HOW TO MAKE:

Soak chick peas overnight drain the water and keep aside.

Cut carrot and cabbage thinly in lengthwise say 2 inches.  In a bowl mix all the vegetables cabbage, carrot, baby spinach, Corn, tomato and chick peas.  Mix well.  If you want to steam the vegetables do steam for 3 mins not more than that.  I just shown in the pic with steamer for reference, I used only raw vegetables.  Add sour cream and a pinch of salt.  Blend well and keep aside.

Microwave the wrap for 30 secs or heat the wrap on tava for 40 secs.  Place wrap on the table and apply a tsp of hummus evenly on the wrap.

Take a needed mixed vegetables and place it in the middle of the wrap.  Do fold the two sides of the wrap and press it.  Because of the hummus the wrap will just stick on the veggies.  Then just start to roll from the bottom of the wrap till the end.  Roll tightly.

Cut the wrap in the middle or pack as it is.  It is easy to eat if you cut and keep it.  For elders you can pack as it is.

Healthy Veg Wrap is ready for packing.

TIPS:

Use all kind of vegetables which we can eat raw.

Do not add more salt.  It is always better not too add salt.  The hummus will have a salt and spicy so you can avoid salt when mixing the vegetables.

You can avoid sour cream instead put salad dressing sauce too.
