Gond Ke Laddu | Edible Gum Laddu | Gond Laddu | Dinkache Ladoo



Gond ke Laddu is one of the healthiest sweets made from Gond/ Edible Gum. Gond is a kind of plant that has been added in Indian foods as it is trusted to have medicinal values. These energy balls are made out of wheat flour, dry fruits, jaggery, and ghee. This laddu is mostly given to new moms recovering from delivery, but it is good for all age groups including kids. This wholesome laddu is very easy to make and can be prepared in very less time. Perfect for a sweet craving




STEP BY STEP GOND KE LADDU:

INGREDIENTS:

Wheat flour            - 2 Cups
Edible Gum            - 1/2 Cup
Dry coconut            - 1/2 Cup
Jaggery                   - 1 1/2 Cups
Cashews                 - 1/2 Cup chopped
Almond                   - 1/2 Cup chopped
Raisin                      - 2 tbsp
Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp
Ghee                       - 1/4 Cup or as required

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat tsp of ghee in a pan and roast wheat flour till hot.  Do not burn.  Transfer to the big bowl and keep aside. 




Heat a tbsp of ghee and roast edible gum.  Roast in batches as it need space to puffs up.             


Cool down completely and make a coarse powder.  Add the powder along with roasted wheat flour.  


Roast coconut in the same kadai and for this ghee need not to be added.  Roast till golden brown and do not burn. 


Cool down and make a coarse powder.  Add along with roasted ingredients.  



Add a tsp of ghee and roast all the nuts including raisins till golden brown. Do not burn them. Add along with roasted things. 


Add jaggery and 1/4 cup of water and start making syrup.  


Mix well and bring to one string consistency.  When it reach the consistency add the syrup with roasted ingredients.


Mix well. 

When it is warm enough to hold / holds shape make small balls.
