Rasam Powder | Homemade Rasam Powder | ரசப்பொடி

We can make good use of the time during lockdown to make homemade powders, which are most of the time bought at the store because of work.  This is the perfect time to make homemade powders and store it so we can avoid buying them from outside.  This aromatic Rasam Powder is one of the important powders in our homes.  You can even make it in large quantities - around 1kg and freeze batches in ziplocks so the flavor can last longer.  This is very simple, handy and yet very delicious and aromatic 😋😋

TIPS:

Dry roast spices separately as some spices get roast fast.

Do not let spices burn, as it will result smoky flavour.

Adding curry leaves is absolutely optional.

Add less red chilli than black pepper as rasam need more pepper flavour than the chilli.

Make large quantity about a kg and freeze batches, use it one by one when needed.  This keeps Rasam powder's flavour stay longer.
