Mullu Murukku | Rice and Besan Flour Murukku | Murukulu

STEP BY STEP MURUKKU | MURUKULU:

INGREDIENTS:

Rice Flour      - 1 Cup
Besan Flour   - 1/4 Cup
Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp 
Hot oil           - 2 tbsp 
Asafoetida     - 1/4 tsp 
Salt               - to taste
Water            - as required
Oil                 - for deep frying

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat enough oil in a kadai for deep frying.  Take rice flour, besan flour, cumin seeds, asafoetida and salt.  Mix well by hands.  


Add 2 tbsp of hot oil and mix well.  Add water little by little and make a fine dough. 


Grease murukku press and fill the dough.  When pressing the dough should come out freely then that is the perfect consistency.  If hard add little more water and bring to flexible consistency.  



Start pressing the murukku directly in the hot oil.  Do not over crowded.  Flip in between and cook until crispy and oil sound decreases.


Remove from the hot oil and transfer to the paper towel.  


Crunchy Karukk Morukk Murukku | Murukulu is ready!! Enjoy munching!!


TIPS:

Ajwain seeds, sesame seeds can be added instead cumin seeds.  

Do not add more water, the dough consistency should be very soft and smooth.

While frying, always keep in medium flame so the murukku will get cook evenly.
