STEP BY STEP MUSHROOM BIRYANI:
INGREDIENTS:
Mushroom - 3 cups
Cooked basmati rice -2 cups / as required
Onion - 1 big chopped
Tomato - 1 big chopped
Green Chilli - 4 - 5
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp
Biryani Masala - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Fried Onion - 1/4 cup
Mint leaves - 1/4 cup chopped
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup chopped
TO TEMPER:
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Star anise - 2
Cardamom - 2
Bay leaf - 2
Cinnamon Stick - 2 small pieces
Cloves - 2
HOW TO MAKE:
Cook basmati rice and keep aside. Heat oil and ghee, add cumin seeds, star anise, bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon stick and cloves. Saute for 30 seconds. Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste along with needed salt. Saute and cook until onion translucent.
Onion translucence add red chilli powder, garam masala, biryani masala, cumin powder and turmeric powder.
Mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft. Add chopped mushrooms.
Mix well and cook until mushrooms are soft and cooked well. Mushroom do not need water to cook so do not add water.
Add cooked basmati rice and mix gently. Check salt and add if needed.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves, add fried onions. Cover with lid and keep some heavy thing on the top. Cook for 10 more minutes in low flame.
Mushroom Biryani is ready to serve. Serve with any Raita or Salna of your choice 😋😋
