HOW TO MAKE:

Soak badham in a water for 3 to 4 hours or soak in hot water for an hour. Peel the skin  and in a mixie grind into a fine paste by adding a milk.

In a kadai add sugar with 1/4 cup of water.  Boil it till the sugar dissolves and add a food color.  When the sugar completely dissolves and starts bubbles add the badham paste. Add cardamom powder and stir continuously to avoid lumps.

Stir continuously and add ghee little by little.  When the bubbles starts on the sides of the pan turn off the stove and transfer to a greased bowl.

Store it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.  Warm it up in the microwave before serve :-)

TIPS:

Once the badham halwa done, transfer into a greased plate and cut into pieces.  Badham cake ready :-)

Add condensed milk instead of sugar.  But care should be taken more to avoid lumps.

Adding more water will take lot time to form a bubbles.  For a syrup 1/4 cup of water is enough to add for 1 cup sugar.
