RAVA PAYASAM / SOOJI PAYASAM / SEMOLINA PAYASAM




INGREDIENTS:

Rava / Sooji / Semolina     - 5 tsp
Milk                                   - 1 ltr
Sugar                                 - 1/2 Cup
Ghee                                  - 2 Tsp
Cardamom powder            - a pinch
Yellow food color powder - a pinch

HOW TO MAKE:

Heat a deep pan and fry Rava until the aroma comes.  Keep it aside and allow it to cool. Boil milk in the pan and add the fried rava, stir well to avoid lumps. When bubble get started add sugar stir well.


Add a pinch of cardamom powder and food color.  Mix well.

Heat ghee in a pan fry cashews and dry grapes.  Add in the payasam mixture.  Stir for a minute and transfer into a serving bowl.


Yummy rava payasam ready :-)



TIPS:

You an add Semiya, broken rice, poha instead of rava.

Can be added jaggery instead of sugar.
