PATTANI SUNDAL / PEAS SUNDAL




INGREDIENTS:

Frozen peas        - 1 Cup
Sabji masala       - 1/2 Tsp (Available in stores)
Salt                    - as needed

To temper:

Oil                      - 1/4 Tsp
Mustard seeds    - 1/4 Tsp
Broken urad dhal - 1/2 Tsp
Asafoetida           - a pinch

HOW TO MAKE:

Steam peas for 5 minutes in a steamer and keep aside.  If you want to cook in water, cook it for 10 minutes, drain the water and keep aside.



Heat oil in a kadai splutter mustard seeds, add urad dhal, asafoetida.  Add the peas, sabji masala and salt.  Mix well.  Add grated coconut for garnish.




Peas sundal ready :-)



TIPS:

If you want add red chilli instead of sabji masala

Onion lovers can add onions and fry till get transparent then add peas.

Corn can be added with peas.
