STEP BY STEP AKKI ROTI

INGREDIENTS:

Rice Flour           - 2 Cups
Onion                 - 1/2 Cup Chopped
Coriander Leaves - 1/4 Cup Chopped
Curry Leaves       - 2 tbsp Chopped
Green Chilli         - 2 finely Chopped
Grated Ginger     - 1 tbsp
Carrot                - 1/2 Cup grated
Salt                   - to taste
Water                - as required
Oil                     - as required

HOW TO MAKE:

Take all the ingredients in a bowl except oil and water.  Mix well make crumbs texture. 



Add water little by little and make a fine dough.  The dough consistency should be able to hold and make a ball. 



Grease banana leaf with a tsp of oil.  Take medium sized ball dough and pan thin circle by wet hands, make small hole in the middle. 



Heat and grease tawa with tsp of oil.  Place banana leaf upside down and slowly remove the banana leaf.  


Drizzle tsp of oil on the roti and around.  Cook both sides. 


Akki Roti is ready to serve.  Serve hot with any chutney or sambar of your choice. 





TIPS:

Grated coconut or finely chopped coconut can be added.

Red chilli flakes, soaked moong dal can can be added.
