STEP BY STEP MOONG DAL PAKODA

INGREDIENTS:

Yellow Moong Dal - 1 Cup
Rice Flour            - 1/2 Cup
Onion                  - 1/2 Cup chopped
Coriander Leaves - 1/4 Cup chopped
Garlic                  - 2 cloves chopped
Grated Ginger      - 1 tbsp
Green Chilli          - 2 finely chopped
Salt                     - to taste
Oil                       - for deep frying

HOW TO MAKE:
 

Wash moong dal and soak for 3 - 4 hours.  Make a coarse paste (not too fine).


In a bowl along with ground moong dal batter add rice flour, chopped onion, coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, chopped garlic, grated ginger and needed salt. Mix well, do not add water.  


Heat oil in a kadai and carefully drop the batter little by little. Spoon can be used to drop the batter.  Do not overcrowded.  Stir in between and fry till crispy and golden brown. 


When it reach crispy and golden brown remove from the oil and same way  finish all the mixture.


Crispy Moong Dal Pakoda is ready to serve.  Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.  Would be super perfect for evening with hot chai / coffee 😋


TIPS:

When grinding moong dal do not add more water.  The batter should be coarse and not too fine.  The more coarse will give more crispy pakoda.  

Red chilli can be added instead green chilli.  

If making for kids add green chilli paste or red chilli paste instead chopped ones as they may feel too spicy when bite.
