COCONUT CHUTNEY / THENGAI CHUTNEY



INGREDIENTS:

Grated coconut    - 1 Cup
Fried gram dhal /
Pottukadalai         - 3 tsp
Green chillies       - 3
Garlic                   - 2 Cloves
Salt                       - as needed

To temper:

Oil                       - 1/4 Tsp
Mustard seeds     - 1/4 Tsp
Red chilli            - 1
Curry leaves       - 2 to 3

HOW TO MAKE:

In a mixie add all the ingredients and make a fine paste by adding little bit water.  Transfer into the serving bowl and add water as you need the chutney thick or liquid.


Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, break the red chillies and add it, then add curry leaves too.  Pour the seasoning on the chutney.  Mix well.

Serve with hot idlies, Dosa & pongal.
