MATTAR PANEER



INGREDIENTS:

Paneer                   - 500 gms
Potato                    - 1
Peas                      - 1/2 cup
Onion                   - 1 finely chopped
Tomato                 - 1 finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder  - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala       - 1 tsp
Thick & Cream     - 2 tsp
Salt                        - as needed
Oil                         - 3 tsp
Cumin seeds          - 1 tsp


HOW TO MAKE:

Cut panner into pieces and heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.  Fry the paneer until turn into little brown and keep aside.  Boil potatoes, peel the skin and cut into pieces.  Cook frozen peas for 3 to 5 mins and keep aside.



Heat the balance 2 tsp oil in a kadai and splutter the cumin seeds.  Add chopped onions and fry till it turn into transparent.  Add ginger garlic paste and fry till nice aroma comes.  Add chopped tomatoes, chilli, coriander, turmeric and masala powder.  Mix well and wait until it form a thick gravy.



Add half a cup of water and allow to boil.  Add the boiled potatoes and peas and mix well.


Once it starts bubbling add the fried paneer.  If it is thick then add 1/4 cup of water and cook for 5 mins.  Add thick and cream mix well and turn of the stove.



Serve with zeera rice and roties.  Mattar Paneer is ready to serve.. :-)



TIPS:

You make this only with Panner, Peas and Aloo / Potato.

Lemon juice is an optional and you can just add few drops once you turn of the stove.
