VEG RICE - WITH CREAMY GARLIC SAUCE




INGREDIENTS:

Steamed basmati
rice                     - 2 Cups
Pasta bake sauce - 5 Tsp (Flavour of creamy garlic sauce)
Onion                - 1 finely chopped
Tomato              - 2 small finely chopped
Peas & Corn      - 1/4 Cup frozen
Green shallots   - 1/4 cup Tsp finely chopped
Pepper powder - 1/4 Tsp
Cumin seeds     - 1/4 Tsp
Salt                   - as needed
Olive oil           - 2 Tsp


HOW TO MAKE:

Pressure cook basmati rice with 3 1/2 cup water and keep aside.




Heat oil in a kadai splutter cumin seeds.  Add chopped onion, tomatoes, peas, corn and green shallots. Add needed salt.  Saute them 3 to 4 mintues, then add pepper powder.  Do not over cook the veggies even the onion need not to be.


Mix well then add the creamy garlic sauce (I used Pasta bake sauce flavour of Creamy Garlic Sauce).
Blend well with the vegetables then add the cooked rice.  Mix well without breaking the rice.




Creamy Garlic Sauce Veg rice ready.... :-)



TIPS:

Add variety of veggies like Capsicum, beans and carrots.

Pasta bake sauce available in stores, else you can make the sauce by doing fine paste with 5 Cloves Garlic, 3 Tsp thick and cream, 1/2 Tomato & 1/2 Onion.

Used pasta baked sauce hence used Olive oil.  You can use regular cooking oil if you make above sauce.  Better to use Olive oil which is good for health :-)
