FILTER COFFEE

INGREDIENTS:

For 5 cups of coffee:

Coffee powder      - 3 Tsp heaped
Water                    - 1 Cup
Milk                      - as needed
Sugar                    - as needed

HOW TO MAKE:

In a filter put coffee powder and tap it gently.  Do not dump it.  Boil water in the pan and allow it to boil well till the bubbles comes.  Pour the water on the filter gently.  Do not pour force.

Close the lid and keep aside.  In 10 few mins time the decoction will be ready.

Boil milk well.  Take a tumbler and add the decoction.  Normally for a strong coffee 1/4 tumbler of decoction needed (If the decoction is too thick). Pour the boiled milk in the decoction as shown in the fig. (You should not heat the decoction again for the hot coffee.  The milk should be very hot.)

Add needed sugar and have a cuppa Filter Coffee... :-)

TIPS:

Do not add more than 1/2 tsp of sugar for the coffee.  Adding more sugar will take out the coffee taste.

Always use thick milk for coffee.  It is just opposite of tea, for tea more water need to be added.

As I told in the recipe do not heat up the decoction.  Heating up decoction will ended up the aroma of coffee will gone.

Do not add more sugar.  You can add the sugar on the top of the coffee powder while making a decoction.  I saw this in my office pantry when they prepare a decoction :-)
