INIPU AVAL (POHA) KOZHUKATTAI




INGREDIENTS:

Aval / Poha / Rice flakes - 1 Cup
Jaggery                            - 1/2 Cup
Desiccated coconut         - 1/4 Cup
Ghee                               - 1 Tsp
Cardamom powder         - a pinch
Salt                                  - 1/4 Tsp


HOW TO MAKE:

Heat jaggery with 1/4 cup of water and boil it until dissolves.  Filter the same and keep aside.




Wash the Aval / Poha and drain the water throughly and soak it for 10 mins and the aval will get soft enough.  Add grated coconut, jaggery syrup, ghee and salt and mix well.  Make small balls and place the same on the idly plate and steam it for 10 minutes.


Inipu aval kozhukattaies are ready.
