POTATO PEPPER FRY






INGREDIENTS:

Potato                 - 4 
Pepper                - 1 Tsp - Coarsely powdered
Cumin seeds        - 1/2 Tsp
Asafoetida           - 1/4 Tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
Salt                      - as needed
Oil                       - 1 Tsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Peel the potatoes, cut into pieces and steam it for 10 mins or cook it with one cup of water. Drain the water fully and keep aside. Do not over cook otherwise it will get mash



Heat oil in a kadai add cumin seeds and asafoetida and fry for a second.



Add the potatoes, pepper, turmeric powder and salt and blend it with care the potatoes should not be mashed.


Reduce the flame and cook it for 10 more minutes.  



Serve with variety rice like, Tamarind rice, lemon rice, Tomato rice and coconut rice.
