VAZHAIKAI VARUVAL / RAW BANANA FRY





INGREDIENTS:

Vazhaikai / Raw banana - 2
Chilli powder                  - 1 Tsp
Coriander powder           - 1 1/2 Tsp
Zeera powder                 - 1 Tsp
Turmeric powder           - 1/4 Tsp
Corn flour                      - 1/2 Tsp
Salt                                - as needed

To temper:

Oil                                - 2 Tsp
Mustard seeds              - 1/4 Tsp
Asafoetida                   - a pinch

HOW TO MAKE:

Peel vazhaikai skin, slice and place it in a bowl of water.  Slight peeling is enough as shown in fig.



Splutter mustard seeds in heated oil in a pan and add asafoetida.  Mix drained vazhaikai, above mentioned powders (except corn flour which is to be added at last) and salt.


Blend it every now and then with care such that it should not divide into pieces.


Sprinkle corn flour, once it is cooked and blend for 5 more mins.



Yummy fry is ready :-)
