KARAMANI SUNDAL / BLACK EYE BEANS SUNDAL



INGREDIENTS:

Black eye beans / Karamani - 1 Cup
Onion                                   - 1 Finely chopped
Salt                                       - as needed

To temper:

Oil                      - 1/4 Tsp
Mustard seeds     - 1/4 Tsp
Broken urad dhal - 1/4 Tsp
Asafoetida           - a pinch
Red chillies         - 2

HOW TO MAKE:

Soak black eye beans / karamani 3 to 4 hours, pressure cook the beans with needed salt and allow two whistles.  Drain the water and keep aside.




Heat oil in a kadai splutter mustard seeds, add broken urad dhal, asafoetida, red chilli.  Add chopped onions and fry till turn into brown in color.  Add the cooked beans and blend it well for 1 minute.
