VENDAIKKAI PORIYAL | BHINDI / OKRA STIR FRY






INGREDIENTS:

Ladies finger / Vendaikai - 2 cups finely chopped
Chilli powder                   - 1 Tsp
Turmeric powder             - 1/4 Tsp
Salt                                  - as needed

To temper:

Oil                                  - 1 Tsp
Mustard seeds                - 1/4 Tsp
Channa dhal                  - 1/2 Tsp
Urad dhal                      - 1/2 Tsp
Asafoetida                     - 1/4 Tsp

HOW TO MAKE:

Wash the ladies finger and wipe with clean cloth before you cut. Cut the ladies finger into small pieces and keep aside.



Heat oil in a pan and add the ingredients which is under temper column.  Add chopped lady's finger, chilli powder and turmeric powder.



Mix well and keep frying for 5 to 6 minutes in a medium flame.  When it get cook well it will get reduce the stickiness.  At that point add salt and cook it for 1 more minute and transfer to the serving bowl.




Serve with sambar or kara kuzhambu rice :-)

Tips:

If you want add grated coconut before transfer the bowl and mix well.
